Double whammy

Over at Amazon.co.uk, they’re doing one of those “Perfect Partner” deals: buy my book and get Stuart Langridge’s DHTML Utopia at the same time for a total of £36.38.

This is a good deal, not just financially but also educationally. I think the two books complement each other very well indeed.

The DOM Scripting book is aimed at the beginner. Some prior knowledge of JavaScript would be good, but not essential. Mostly, it’s about explaining the concepts behind good scripts.

Stuart’s book is a lot grittier. Fairly early on, he starts tackling some powerful and advanced topics - topics that are simply beyond the scope of my humble tome.

If you want to methodically work your way through JavaScript concepts, moving from the simple to complex, I think the two books together form the perfect guide.

If you were thinking of buying the book from Amazon.co.uk anyway, I recommend the “Buy Together” option.

Hey Jeremy, great to stumble across you blogging here. Congrats on the book. It looks like a beauty, and does seem like a great ‘tag-team’ partner for Stuart’s book. DHTML Utopia isn’t ‘super technical’, but he does start the whips cracking pretty early on.

Looks like Amazon.co.uk have moved the goalposts - apparently they now think "Bulletproof Web Design" is your "Perfect Partner".

You’re such a floozy, Keith ;)

Amazon.co.uk is a harsh pimp. I’ll be hooked up with every book in the web design catalogue if I’m not careful.
